2-11 released
a.k.a.® Version 2-11 has now been released. This major update builds upon
the new functionality in Version 2-10 and includes:
The option of using either MDB or SQL database formats. The standard installation
delivers SQL administration tools for creating and managing a.k.a.® SQL databases.
A data conversion tool is provided to convert your MDB databases into SQL.
A comparison tool that compares different a.k.a.® databases and reports on the differences.
Enhanced integration functionality with TRIM, SharePoint, and eDOCS.
More usability tools, more metadata options and more reporting options.

Synercon opens UK and Europe Office
for a.k.a.® software
Synercon opens a UK /European office to meet the growing demand for a.k.a.®
software service and support.
Regional Manager Fiona Kearney
Fiona returns from a year overseas including several months in Synercon's Australian
office. A qualified archivist, Fiona will be providing sales, support and training
to UK and European users.

Full release of a.k.a.® TRIM Integrator
The a.k.a.® TRIM Integrator is now fully released. With the integrator, you
can now take full advantage of the editing power of a.k.a.® to build and
maintain TRIM Classification Plans, TRIM Thesauri and TRIM Retention Schedules and
pass this information into TRIM on a regular basis.

November 2009 a.k.a.® for SharePoint
Integration
The beta release of the a.k.a.® to SharePoint integration strategy (Stage
1) is currently under test. The a.k.a.® to SharePoint Integration enables
the publication of classification schemes (taxonomies) directly into the SharePoint
document centre, enabling centralised control of the SharePoint File Plan.
